Nobi Shioya (sculptor with a background in surfing and surfboard shaping) recalls why he has created S-Perfume: "When I was in the surfboard industry, I used to love the smell of polyester resin (used for boards), neoprene rubber (used for wet suits) and also the sweet smell of Sex Wax® (a brand of board wax used for traction). I was fascinated by the contrast of these industrial and artificial smells mixed with the natural smell of the ocean." These elements are the essence of Nobi Shioya's olfactory memory and inspiration.
